 Following ancient traditions, Seleno Health's Ceremonial Cacao Nibs are fermented and sun dried, before being de-husked and shredded into small nibs. They are packed with bioactive ethanolamides, tryptophan, tryptamine, phenylethylamine, polyphenols, magnesium, zinc and other essential minerals. With a beautiful rich aromatic flavour, their Cacao is personally sourced in Peru from their own farms to find the most potent, therapeutic & flavour rich cacao possible.

The Process

Hand-selected, Seleno Health's Ceremonial Cacao is made only from the virgin crop, meaning their pods are the first from the crop of the tree. Their ceremonial cacao is a fermented and full bean, generated from milling the whole bean into a creamy, rich paste. Every batch is tested and shown to be safe from heavy metals and cadmium. Seleno go beyond fair trade and work exclusively with one family farm that uses sustainable natural agroforestry practices. Their Cacao is artisanally grown, fermented and dried below 50°C while maintaining neutral acidity to provide the best aroma and taste.
